The Dhangal Hand Puppet is part of a special duo representing two beloved animals deeply rooted in Torres Strait Islander culture. Through these puppets, children and adults alike are invited to explore traditional stories, respect for sea life, and the enduring wisdom of First Nations knowledge.

With its soft curves and gentle presence, Dhangal the Dugong is ideal for storytelling, puppet play, and cultural learning centred around ocean life and the spiritual significance of dugongs to Torres Strait Islander peoples. Each puppet is carefully handmade from 100% New Zealand wool and coloured with non-toxic azo-free dyes.
