Phthlalate Free Home & Children's Services

phthalates

As many of you know I experienced a challenging fertility journey filled with heartache and loss over 7 long years. I was finally blessed to have my baby girl Milla in 2016. Words truly cant express the gratitude and love i feel each and every day for the team of people who supported us along the way.

About a year before Milla was born I started to look more closely at the food I was eating, the products I was putting on my body and the environmental toxins I was exposed to. Wow... did this open up Pandora's box.

I felt more inspired to research and find the best quality products made from sustainable materials that are safe, non-toxic that really mean 'non-toxic' and Eco friendly.

Do you know?

Most plastic toys are made in factories using chemicals such as BPA, Phthalates and PVC that has been linked to cancer, endocrine disruption, development delays, and reproductive system damage. Scary... and wrong!

Phthalates are a group of chemicals that are used in a wide range of products to give a plastic flexibility, durability and longevity. Phthalates are entangled within a plastic rather than bonded so can leach out easily by exposure to heat and solvents.

Phthalates are in PVC and are therefore in anything where flexible PVC is present- vinyl, upholstery, bath toys and mats and many children's toys.

Phthalates are also found in fragrance ingredients from candles, perfume and other body products.

Together let's start a low tox journey and follow these simple first 5 tips...

1. Get rid of or reduce plastic toys and choose wooden toys, natural rubber toys, silks and felt wool resources.
