Our children's environment has such a powerful impact on how they feel, play and learn. As both an Early Childhood Educator and a mum, this has become something I notice every single day. Having a daughter with noise sensitivity has made me even more aware of how overwhelming the world can sometimes feel for children. Busy spaces, loud sounds, bright colours, many textures and too many choices can make it difficult for some children to regulate, while calm, thoughtfully prepared environments help them feel safe, connected and ready to explore.
